When I started working for SustainPLNU, they had an unpleasant logo that was not pleasing looking and was not welcoming for its intended audience, which was students, faculty and visitors of Point Loma Nazarene University. When designing the logo, I thought of what other eco-friendly logos look like and went in the completely different direction. While the leaf is the generic icon to use for Sustainability Company, I did a twist by using lines to make up the leaf and curving the leaf to make it look like a flame or a water droplet. Having the circle really holds the leaf together because of the whole circle of life saying. The font is Harabara Mais Demo for its rounded corners and almost flowing nature for advertisements and whatever else we wanted to use the font for. SustainPLNU wanted to use only 5 colors (mint-green, sky-blue, peach, white and black) for its logo, so that the logo can be flexibly for any design.
